We can become very hardened and cynical in the face of the evil and chaos our humanity has caused in the world. Yet the message of Christmas is one of hope and of joy. God’s goodness, his very life, was made flesh in our midst. With God in us, we are provided with the opportunity to become the best versions of ourselves: better people with a fuller life; a new life; a life with God. Rejoice.
